How to Bypass The Japan Times Article Limit

The Japan Times article limit
This message is frustrating

I love reading The Japan Times, but sometimes I encounter a message like this: “You’ve reached your story limit as a non-registered user”.

The site then tries to force readers to register for a free account to access more articles or pay a monthly fee for unlimited access. I’m not interested in making an account just to read daily articles on a website, so I want to show others how to bypass The Japan Times article limit.

What is The Japan Times?

The Japan Times is an English-language newspaper and website. It’s a really good source of information and always has interesting articles about politics and other issues happening in the land of the rising sun. If you are interested in Japan or currently live there, you owe it to yourself to read this newspaper/site and keep yourself aware of current events.

The Japan Times has a monthly article limit

For those that read the website often like I do, some might have discovered that there is a limit to how many articles you can read per month if you are not a subscriber. That’s fair enough if the site had a strict way of preventing people from reading other articles, but I discovered the method used to stop readers is fairly easy to bypass.

The Japan Times website uses web cookies as a way to determine when to limit you from reading additional articles. If you have a basic knowledge of how to clear cookies, then you can already guess how to bypass this article limit.
